In order to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the Windrush Generation to Britain Diversity Music Community 1st delivered a series of workshops to the pupils of Woden Primary School, Wolverhampton. Using the medium of music and the creative arts Diversity Music Community 1st aimed to educate them about the origins of Windrush and impact the arrival of the people from the Caribbean to Britian has had on British Society. The event culminated in a musical performance at a coffee morning held at the New Trust Centre where the children delivered an excellent performance, sang in groups, read Windrush inspired poetry and were able to share what they learnt with older ones. The children gave an excellent performance, and it was enjoyed by all. The feedback from the event was excellent, Margaret from The New Trust Centre commented:
